This Cookie Policy explains how EmergentOS Inc (“Emergent”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and in the EmergentOS platform (the “Service”), and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits. We refer to all of these as “cookies” in this Policy. Cookies may be set by us (first-party) or by third parties providing services to us (third-party), and they may last only for your session or persist for a defined period.
| Category | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the Service to function — for example, to keep you signed in, route traffic, remember your cookie choices, and keep the Service secure. These cannot be switched off through our cookie controls. | Always active |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience, such as language or interface choices. | Off by default where consent is required |
| Analytics | Help us understand how the Service is used so we can measure performance and improve it. This includes usage and event data. | Off by default where consent is required |
| Marketing | Used to measure and, where relevant, deliver communications about our products. We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising. | Off by default where consent is required |
4.1 Where required by law (including in the United Kingdom and the European Union), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. When you first visit, you will see a banner allowing you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. Essential cookies are always active because the Service cannot function without them.
4.2 You can change your choices at any time through the cookie-preferences control available on our website. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies; note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
4.3 We honour recognised browser-based opt-out signals where applicable law requires it.
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide analytics, security, payment, and infrastructure services to us. These providers process information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie notices. The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum identify the key service providers and AI Providers we use.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. We set retention periods proportionate to the purpose of each cookie; analytics and functional cookies are retained no longer than necessary for those purposes.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our providers, or applicable law. We will post the updated Policy with a new effective date, and, where required, ask for renewed consent.
For questions about this Cookie Policy or our use of cookies, contact us at info@emergentos.ai. Our full contact details are in the Privacy Policy.
